This is a WW2 military horse-mounted cavalry saddle, made from brown English leather.

The saddle has a risen cantle with a brass attachment on the underside, along with other brass rings used for carrying equipment in the field.

Complete with a sword frog.

Steel stirrup bars, 2 girth straps.

The original owners name is under the stirrup flap:
'Capt P.Heap 476574' 


The saddle has a wooden underside and a green felt lining.

Comes complete with its original sheepskin cover.

Excellent piece of history for a collector.

Warranted steel stirrup bars, 3 girth straps.
